Your local HeatNest team in North York
Our goal in North York is simple: answer the phone, show up when we say we will, explain the problem in plain language and leave your home safer than we found it.
Homes in North York
North York is part of the City of Toronto. Toronto's neighbourhoods pack an extraordinary mix of homes into a small area: Victorian semis, post war bungalows, 1970s split levels, stacked townhomes and glass condo towers, often on the same few blocks.
Older detached and semi detached houses frequently have furnaces squeezed into tight basement utility rooms, chimneys that were lined decades ago and gas lines extended several times during renovations. Condos and townhomes bring their own challenges, from fan coil units to direct vent fireplaces that terminate on crowded balconies. Our technicians who work in North York see these patterns every week and come prepared for them.
Weather and your equipment
The lake moderates temperatures slightly, but humid summers and freeze thaw winters still put real strain on air conditioners and furnaces. Dense streets mean outdoor condensers often sit in narrow side yards with poor airflow. That is why we recommend North York homeowners schedule furnace and fireplace maintenance in early fall and air conditioner maintenance visits in spring, before the first heat wave arrives.
